Our Founding:
Abundant Health Care Inc. was founded in 1997 by the current owners, David and Letty Rutledge. David and Letty are both registered nurses who are committed to providing professional nursing and therapy services to our home health and long-term care patients who live in Hidalgo County.
In 2007, Letty Rutledge completed her master’s in nursing science education and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. This continuing education has allowed Letty to learn and provide the most recent nursing advances in health care and medicine.
Our Mission:
Abundant Health Care is committed to providing a means by which our health care professionals can include patients in their own health care decisions; reduce patient's fear and anxiety; help patients carry out treatment regimens; and, promote lifestyles that improve the patient's own health and quality of life.
Our Goal:
It is our goal to provide our patients with the basic knowledge, skills, and new behaviors that will help our patients participate in self-management, recover from illness or injury, and achieve better health.

David and Letty believe that providing excellent care to our home health patients is only possible through our team of professional nursing and therapists; as well as our competent attendants in the PHC, SPW, and PAS programs. It is for this reason that we remain committed to recruiting highly qualified individuals. We are very proud of our health care team, and we are confident that our patients, their family members, and their physicians can trust our nursing staff to provide the best home health care possible. Care is provided on the basis of need, without regard to the patient’s age, sex, disability, race, religion, or national origin to the extend of our agency’s resources.
